Glenvale’s West Baldwin Solar Station Issued Conditional Use Permit
Glenvale’s West Baldwin Solar Station Issued Conditional Use Permit
West Baldwin Solar Station was issued a Conditional Use Permit in Baldwin on May 14th, after a vote taken by the Planning Board on May 13th. We thank the town staff and Planning Board for their commitment to clean energy, and for their thorough and professional investigation of the project. Glenvale applied for permit in December 2020, and the hearing was opened in April, after a weather-delayed site visit held in March.
We are pleased to see this first permit issued for the project, on schedule, and with prudent conditions. We expect to complete the entitlement process for the project shortly.
A hearing is scheduled on June 8th for the Conditional Use Permit in Hiram.

Working with planning boards and the public are amongst our favorite elements of solar development. We have put great thought into planning a project that responsibly uses privately owned land and existing electric infrastructure to generate clean energy.
We look forward to working with the community and all stakeholders to complete the entitlement of this exciting project.
